SCORE Unit
SCORE= SELECTIVE,CRIME,OCCURRENCE,REDUCTION ENFOREMENT
The primary function of the SCORE Unit is to augment patrol operations. The unit's mission is to reduce violent crime through patrol and surveillance, and to address other complaints of criminal activity where special attention is needed. The SCORE unit is also the tactical component of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. SCORE is available around the clock to respond to critical incidents in Kansas City, Kansas. The unit also responds, upon request to critical incidents in other jurisdictions.
