Internal Affairs Unit
The Internal Affairs Unit is the primary investigatory body investigating complaints of alleged misconduct on the part of Police Department employees, both sworn and non-sworn (civilians). The Unit Commander has two detectives and one secretary in his charge.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Internal Affairs Unit of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is to protect the public, the employee and the Department through fair, thorough, and impartial investigations of alleged misconduct.
